Build-A-Bear

Yesterday after Mommy's doctor's appointment, we all went to build-a-bear so that I could make a special bear to take to the hospital when my baby sister is born.
First, I got to pick out the bear, which I picked a
pink and white fluffy one. Then, we put a music box in her hand that plays the Brahm's Lullabye. Then, I got a heart and did lots of fun stuff with it. I touched it to my nose, knees, head, ears, eyes, my tummy, and then I gave it a kiss and put it into the bear. I really filled it with love!

After filling the heart with love and stuffing the little bear, I got to give it a bath and brush her hair. I didn't really like the bath station because I got a little scared when the dryers came on and blew air on my hands!

After bathing the bear, Daddy and Mommy helped me pick out an outfit to dress her in. We picked a pink shirt with a baby hat, rattle, bottle and blanket. Daddy helped me dress her.

We then got to name her and get her a birth certificate. We decided on the name, Gertie! That's because Grandpa Doug, Grandma Donita and Aunt Traci have been calling my baby sister Gertie, or Gertrude, since Daddy and Mommy won't tell her name! Silly! But, we thought it was appropriate.

The above picture is the final bear. Girly, huh!? I had lots of fun, and I can't wait to give it to my sister! I even carried it through the mall and to the car, look at the picture below! Mommy thought it looked silly because the box was bigger than me. However, Daddy and Mommy are really happy that I was able to create this bear by myself from beginning to end to give to my little sister.

Swimming Pool!

Finally, Daddy and Mommy bought me a swimming pool for our patio at our house! Mommy wanted to get one back at the beginning of May, but then everyone sold out really fast. Luckily, we made a quick stop at a store by our house to pick up some stuff, and they had gotten new pools in! This is me playing in the pool at about 8:00 pm. Can you believe that it is getting up to about 115 degrees during the day now and even at my bedtime it is still upper 90's to the low 100's?!!! That is tooooo hot!

Happy Daddy's Day!

Happy Daddy's Day to all the Daddy's out there! Today has been a pretty good day. I got up this morning and gave Daddy his gift. It was a golf card and a golf picture frame. The golf ball says, "Dad #1" on it and it is a holding a picture of the very first time Daddy and I went golfing together back in November (you can view the picture under my November 2006 archives). Mommy and I thought this was the perfect gift because Daddy loves to golf and he always says he wants to teach me!
The funny thing is, this evening Daddy turned golf on the TV and I got excited and started saying, "ball!" Then, I ran to the kitchen and got a utensil that would work well as a golf club. I watched the guys on TV some more and started hitting the golf ball around like I was golfing! Daddy and even Mommy say that they think I could be pro in a couple of years and even beat Tiger Woods. Watch my video and tell me what you think!

Strep Throat

I have not been feeling well the last couple of days. I caught strep throat over the weekend and it hurts really bad. I went to the hospital yesterday so I could get some medicine to make me feel better, but no luck yet. The Doctor said I should be feeling better within 2-3 days. However, Daddy got some videos of me playing, and so here are a couple of them! I just can't help myself...... I'm so darn cute!

Daddy Comes HOME!

Yay! Daddy finally came home for good!
On Wednesday, Mommy, Me and Grandpa Rodger drove to where Daddy was in school to watch him graduate! It was a long drive, but it was worth it to be there for his special day. However, I got a little cranky in the middle of the ceremony and Mommy had to take me outside to get in trouble and put me in time-out. While we out there, we missed Daddy walking across the stage! Mommy was really mad at me, but Daddy said it was okay and that he understands. So, these are the pictures we got before the ceremony started. I got to wear Daddy's hat the whole time!

Not only did I get in trouble that day, but Mommy did too...... She got pulled over by a military policeman. She had never been pulled over before, but he told her she was speeding. Good thing, he only gave us a warning and didn't put Mommy in time-out for being a bad girl. Mommy doesn't listen to warnings though, cause Daddy warned her not to speed on the military base, and she accidentally did anyway!

After Daddy's graduation, we ate lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings! Yummy! They gave me this really cool hat to wear that had horns on it! Daddy and Mommy thought it was very appropriate for me....... (but, I don't know why?!)

Doin' the Dishes

I really like to help Mommy with the chores around the house. I like to help vacuum the floor and sweep too! My new favorite chore is helping unload the dishwasher. A few days ago, Mommy was putting the glasses from the top drawer into the cupboard, then I decided I wanted to be her big helper. So, I pulled out the bottom drawer of the dishwasher and started taking the silverware out of the basket. Then, without being told where to put them, I pulled open the silverware drawer and dropped them all inside! Mommy was so proud of me for knowing where to put all the stuff. Of course, Daddy arranged all the silverware in the tray later!

EEWWWW!

Haha, look at my hair! Anyway, I know it has been a few days since I posted last, but this weekend we have been having all kinds of power outages at my house! Luckily, power is on at the moment. So new things with me, you ask? I am 21 months old and Mommy says I probably won't make it to my second birthday at the rate I am going. The below picture shows my massive owie that I got at the store yesterday. I was walking and turned around to make sure Daddy and Mommy were following me. Then, the rack that held the gift bags attacked me. The metal rack jabbed my cheek and scraped up the side of my face. I cried, and Mommy almost did too cause she felt bad for me. Daddy says that it took off a couple layers of skin, but that I am a boy, and that stuff happens to boys. It didn't make Mommy feel better though.
Also, another thing that I love to say now is "eeewwww!" I say it at the perfect moments too! When I want a diaper change or when somebody does something icky, or if I get food on my hands that I don't like. Mommy thinks it's cute, but I just think everything is eewww! I love to say it! I also say eat, bath and cookie now too! Oh, and Mommy's favorite new trick that I do...... She asks me, "What sound do the piggies make?" and I snort like little piggies! I think she gets amused for the strangest things. Silly Mommy.
