Happy Birthday To Me!!!!

Well, do I look different to you? I should because today I turned ONE YEAR OLD!!!! I am such a big boy now. These pictures are from this morning when Mommy and Daddy came into my bedroom singing Happy Birthday Dear Eli....... I had no idea what was going on, but it was fun! Daddy and Mommy sang Happy Birthday again when the clock hit 12:02 pm. I am officially one year old now!
After eating breakfast, Daddy, Mommy and me went to the doctors office for my 12 month check-up. It went okay. My new stats: my weight is 23 lbs 1.5 oz (50%), height is 31 inches (75%) and my head is 46 1/2 cm (50%)!! Basically everything is perfect and the doctor said that I am growing like a champ. Compared to other babies my age my head is average, but because I am so tall, that makes me a little thinner than most babies my age. But, I think I'm pretty perfect.
The only bad thing was that the Doctor looked in my ears and she said that I have liquid behind my ear drums. She brought in a special machine that tested my ear drum activity due to the liquid and the Doctor said my left ear drum is not working all the way due to the pressure. So, that means I have to go back in 6 weeks for another check-up to make sure that the liquid isn't causing hearing problems.
After my check-up I got my shots and I cried really hard.... I've never cried for shots before, but the doctor said these are different and the medicine makes it sting. But, it was worth it because I got an Incredible Hulk sticker!! (Another thing my Doctor said was that because I was so active, she looked and Mommy and said, "He looks like a trouble maker!" Mommy and Daddy agreed. That just means that I'm good at my job!

This is a picture of me when I was less than an hour old and the one below is exactly on year later! Do I look different??

The Day Before I'm a Grown-up

Well, folks, it's sad but true. Tomorrow Mommy says it is my birthday and that I will be a grown-up. She says she can't believe I am so big and it is sad that I am growing too fast. However, she also says that I am a whole lot of fun to play with now and she enjoys our conversations together. And she's really happy that I still love to give her hugs all the time too!

The picture above is me after my birthday party this past weekend. These are all the neat toys I got! Thanks everybody for everything! I have been having lots of fun playing with my new toys, and I can't wait till fall so I can wear all my cool new clothes that everyone bought for me.

Well, that is all I have for now, I will post tomorrow morning after my doctors appointment and let you all know how it goes!
(Another fun little tid-bit of information: This post is my 100th post on blogger!! That is a lot of pictures and stories since March when I started!)

One More Photo!

Here is one more photo of me at my birthday party that Mommy wanted everyone to see! This is actually part of the video that Mommy was taping, but we got onto the computer and got still shots from the video!

Let's Party!!!

Okay people, brace yourselves for LOTS of pictures from my birthday party!
Everyone showed up at my house around 2:00 pm yesterday for a party! We all ate pizza and then opened gifts. We didn't get pictures of me opening gifts because, Mommy was helping me and Daddy was video taping! But, I didn't really understand what to do, so Mommy helped a lot. Something funny was that, when Mommy ripped part of the paper, I would go over to the present and "peek" under the wrapping to see my gift, but I wouldn't help rip the wrapping off!

After pizza and opening presents, we moved on to have fun with the pinata!! Most of the kids had fun pulling the strings, except for me......

Don't get me wrong, I liked this part of the party. Everyone said that I was "working smarter, not harder." That's because all the other kids pulled the strings, but while they were wondering what the heck just hit them in the head, I was stealing their candy off the floor!!! Hence, the above picture of me eating the candy too quickly to realize there was a reason it tasted like foil wrap....
After the pinata, we ate cake. This is a picture of me with my candle lit while everyone sang Happy Birthday dear Eli. Just like aunt Traci on her first birthday, I stuck my finger in the flame and (as Mommy would say), my finger got fired! I didn't cry though, I just took my finger back and made a funny face 'cause it stung.

The picture to the left is after about 10 minutes of cake eating. Mommy was surprised that I dug right into my cake. She thought I would be hestitant at first since that is my personality, but no, not today!!! It was a cake to eat all by myself and nobody was stopping me!!!

The above picture is how the dining room looked for my party. Mommy and Daddy had fun blowing up 55 balloons!

This is a picture of my own cake, with my own candle and my own name on it! I think out of everyone at the party, I got the biggest piece!

And, of course, this is the cake everyone else got to eat and, we ended up with lots of leftovers, so Mommy said she will freeze a piece and give it to me on my real birthday.....

Hey, does that mean I get to do all of this again on Thursday? A guy can't complain about that!

Art Projects

So, Daddy and Mommy have been working on a few projects this week, like I told you before. I thought that I would post a few pictures of them! Nothing too exciting here still. Next week will be though! I have my birthday party on Saturday, a doctor's appointment on my real birthday( Thursday), a birthday party for my friend, Riley, next Saturday and then pictures on Sunday! WOW, that's a lot!

So the picture below is a picture that Mommy drew. Can you guess who it is? Yep! It's Daddy!

This is the project that Daddy has been working on this week. It's a pinata for my birthday party! Daddy made it all by himself! (and Mommy watched) Each side is a different color, green, red, yellow, dark blue, and the top and bottom is light blue. The bright colors will match my Baby Einstein party theme!
It is a pull string pinata so us little kids can have fun. Daddy made it so everyone can be a winner. Every single string has 7 pieces of candy attached to it! YUMMY! Mommy even said I can eat some of the candy too!

Bye-Bye!

Hello everybody! Sorry I haven't been posting this week, but it has been so boring around here! Daddy has been working a lot of late nights, and Mommy has been working an art project all week long! Finally, last night, something exciting happened. I learned how to wave bye-bye all by myself! Mommy and Daddy have been trying to teach me for a long time, but I would never do it. When Mommy got excited last night when I starting waving, she smiled and clapped at me. Then, I started clapping! I have been clapping ever since we went to Colorado and Grandpa Doug taught me how. It's a lot of fun when you learn how to do these things! Now, all Mommy has to do is say bye-bye, and I start waving!

The Terrible Two's........ A Year Early?

So recently Mommy is saying that I got the terrible two's a year early. I'm not sure what she means by that, but I believe it has something to do with my new tantrums that I throw when I'm mad. What I do is when I get mad or don't like the way something is going (usually when it's not my way), I will scream and then fall flat on my back to the floor. I will lay there for a few seconds and then eventually stand back up when I get over it. Advice to all other babies: tantrums do not get you what you want...... Mommy just scolds me more and calls me a little baby. Which obviously I am NOT! Instead of posting pictures of me when I'm mad, I decided to post pictures when I am happy so you all can still think I am an angel!

I'll Take the Spoon!

Mommy gave me oatmeal with bananas and apples in it for breakfast this morning. I liked it so much that I grabbed the spoon and fed myself! Mommy sometimes helped me get the cereal on my spoon, but after that, I did it all on my own! Also, notice that I am using my left hand.....

Static Electricity!

Today Mommy, Daddy and me went to the park to play and go for a walk. Daddy went down the slide with me and took this picture when we got to the bottom. Look at my hair!!! For everybody out there that says I am bald, this proves I am not bald! Look how long it is.....

Tickle Tickle!

Every Thursday night, Daddy has to work really late. So, Mommy and I spent the evening playing and wrestling around on the couch. She was tickling me all over and I could not stop laughing! I'm ticklish under the armpits, on my thighs and my belly. Tickling is the one sure way to make me laugh!!!

I Can Help Dress Myself!!!

So, although Mommy didn't get a picture, I wanted to tell you something that I can do! This morning when Mommy was dressing me, I decided I wanted to help her. So I put my own arms through the shirt holes and Mommy said I was a big help. Then, It was time for my shorts. She stood me up and I lifted my legs into the legs of shorts! I like to help dress myself and occasionally, I undress myself too!

At the Park with My Cousins

This morning me and my cousins and Mommy and Daddy loaded up and headed to the park. That is four carseats! Once we finally got there, I was ready for some playing. This is me to the left insisting that I climb the stairs myself..... And Daddy making sure I don't lose my life.

This is me and Daddy after we rode down the slide together. Look how he is squishing me! I still had fun though.

This is me and my cousin, Josiah after we went down the slide together all by ourselves. It was lots of fun and I felt like a big boy.
And this is me on the swing. I like this more and more every time we go to the park!

Just Like Any Normal Kid

This morning when I woke up, Mommy gave me some cereal for breakfast. I got to eat lucky charms for the very first time! Mommy looked down at my tray and this is what she saw. Notice that all the marhsmallows are gone.... Where did they go, you ask? In my tummy!!!!! I love the marshmallows and picked them out and ate them first!

Just Some Pictures

There is absolutely nothing exciting going on with me lately. So, here are a couple of pictures taken of me this morning until there is something exciting to tell you! My cousins are coming over this weekend to play, but I will try to post tomorrow!
