A Big Change

Hey everybody! Do I look different to you? Think really hard about what today is...... Yep! I am 11 months old today! I am so grown up and guess what else that means? In only 1 short month I will be a whole year old! Can you believe it?! Mommy and Daddy are already having fun trying to plan a really special day for me. I have heard some secrets, but they won't tell me everything!!
This is me crying before I went to take a nap. I really like my naps and this is how I start to look if Mommy doesn't let me sleep when I want to. She says my face will stick like this if I cry too long. She still thinks I am cute though, no matter what my face looks like.

After me crying for a while, Mommy decided she needed to clean the house. And she said that I could be her big helper! I took it upon myself to do the mopping! She thought I was a big help.

An Early Birthday Present

This is what Mommy, me, Grandpa Doug, Grandma Donita and Aunt Traci bought for Daddy for his birthday! It is a really cool jogging stroller. Can you believe that he has been wanting one ever since he found out that I was in Mommy's tummy? That is a long time! Well, he finally got one yesterday and took me for a jog this morning. It was fun and I just looked around. Mommy said it is the perfect gift because it benefits everyone! Daddy gets exercise, I get a cool ride, and Mommy gets quiet time with us guys gone!

Daddy's birthday isn't until this Wednesday, but Mommy gave this to him early because he found out what it was! A lady on the phone called and asked if it was okay to ship the stroller on the 28th. Unfortunately, Daddy was the one on the phone! He was confused and told the lady on the phone that we did not order a stroller. Then, Mommy said it was not a mistake and he figured out that it was his birthday present.

Instruction Manual:

Step 1: Take the object in both hands firmly, and hold it down by your belly.

Step 2: Take the object and quickly bring it to your head or face and hit it very hard!

This is a fun game that I learned from Mommy. She was playing with me and tapping the book on my head and I thought it was funny. So, when she put the book down, I picked it up and tried it on myself! I hit myself harder, but I liked the whack sound and Mommy laughed. That made me laugh.

A Bad Hair Day

I look stupid... Daddy decided he wanted to try to gel my hair and I came out looking like this. A mohawk in the front and a nasty disaster in the back. On top of it all, my hair is too long and it started curling over at the top of the mohawk!

I'm BAAAAACK!!!

Hello everyone! Yes, I am back from vacation. I had so much fun! We hiked, went shopping and got SPOILED by Grandpa and Grandma. Had a weenie roast, played bingo and lots of other things! I have posted lots of pictures and stories so, enjoy. They are posted in chronological order.

Uncle Chris is SOO Silly!

Yes, I know it's scary folks, but this is my Uncle Chris. The day before we went bye-bye from the cabin, Mommy took a picture of Uncle Chris and he jokingly said we should post it to the blog. Well, here it is. To answer questions before they are asked: NO, he is not mentally challenged, YES, he is weird, and YES, we are related.......... by blood. (hard swallow)
Regardless, I love my Uncle Chris and always asked him to hold me!

This is a hat that Uncle Chris bought for me at Mt. Rushmore! It is so silly and gives me a racoon tail on my head!

Weenie Roast! (and s'mores)

On Sunday we had a weenied roast in the front of the cabin. I have never seen anything like that before! I got to eat hot dogs, cheetos and s'mores!! YUMMY! I love marshmallows!

I Gave Flowers to a Lady

While Grandma Donita, Mommy and me were on a walk, we began picking flowers for Great Grandma Evelyn. Grandma Donita and Mommy helped pick them, but when we got back to the cabin, I walked in and gave them to Great Grandma. Grandma Donita said that all of Great Grandma's grandkids used to give her flowers when they were little, and now her great-grandkids can! Mommy and Grandma Donita said I was such a gentleman for giving flowers to a lady!
In the picture below, I got a little confused about Great Grandma taking my flowers and I decided I wanted them back! As you can tell, I am pulling them away from her. Eventually, I gave them up and the bouquet sat on the table for the rest of the trip.

BINGO!

After a long day at the cabin and hiking, we went to the Elks Lodge and played bingo! It took a really long time and by the time it was over, it was way past my bedtime. I ended up falling asleep in Daddy's arms towards the end of the game. Unfortunately, Mommy and Daddy didn't win any money. However, Great-Grandma Evelyn won a little bit. And, Grandma Donita and Aunt Traci were excited because each of them won for their very first time!

Takin' a Hike!

On Friday afternoon, we went on a great big hike around a beautiful lake in the mountains. This picture is by the waterfall at the back of the lake. It's Mommy, Uncle Chris, Aunt Traci, Grandma Donita, Grandpa Doug and me! The shade was really nice by the waterfall because the hike back there was very long and in the sun!

This picture is with Grandpa Doug and Grandma Donita. I had fun getting my picture taken with them except the bugs were eating us!

This is me and Daddy and Mommy on our
hike back to the car.
Look at the view at this lake!

The thing that made the hike fun for me was that Daddy gave me a ride on his shoulders the whole time! It was so much fun for me and good exercise for Daddy since the hike was 3 miles around the lake!

Driving to Colorado

This is Daddy and me in Utah when we were driving out to Colorado on Wednesday 7-20-06. Daddy had to stop to go potty just off the road on this big cliff. It sure was a bathroom with a view!

Going Bye-Bye

Well, as you all know, we are going bye-bye tomorrow to Colorado on vacation for a whole week! I will be back though, on Tuesday night, very late. I will have lots of pictures and stories to tell you on Wednesday!
Although Mommy couldn't get a picture, I had a really strange viral infection. It started out about two weeks ago when I got a really high fever around 105. I had it for about 4 days and then it went away. A week passed by and then all of a sudden, I started getting a really bad and scary rash all over my body. They were thousands of little red bumps. Daddy said I looked like a leopard! Mommy got scared and took me to the doctor. He said it is a very common virus among 6 month- 24 month olds called Roseola. The rash is gone now after two days and I am happy about that!

Springy Dinosaurs

Mommy says that in this picture you have to look at my face.... She thinks it's cute. Anyway, this is me at the park on Sunday morning before we went to church. It's the first time I got to ride on these little springy toy dinosaurs. I loved them! I was all smiles and I even knew how to rock it back and forth!
We stayed at the park for about a half hour and I stayed on the springy dino's the whole time!

Hangin' On For Dear Life!

I have just recently discovered falling. I get scared now if someone is holding me and I feel like they aren't holding tight enough. Mommy and Daddy think it is funny because it feels like a death grip. This picture shows how I am grabbing Daddy so I don't fall. I don't think it's that funny at all! It's a long way down to the ground!!!

A New Belt!

Mommy has been tryng to find a belt for my little body for a long time. She finally found one that fits me, so she bought it! I think I look pretty handsome, and so does Mommy and Daddy.

My Pearly Whites

This is a funny picture. (minus the drool dripping off my chin). The doctor a few days ago said that I have very pretty pearly white teeth. So, I thought that I would show them off!

Giving Daddy's Car a Bath!

Last night Daddy said he needed to give his car a bath, so Mommy and I helped him! It was so much fun, and I got really wet because Daddy kept spraying me with the hose!

While we were outside washing the car, Mommy saw all the smoke in the sky. It is from lightening a couple weeks ago that caused a really big fire!

It is really close to our house and the whole sky is smokey and dark. There are over 600 firefighters that have been trying to put it out for three days straight, but it's getting bigger! And many houses have burned down. It is very sad and scary because it is moving our way. Daddy says it will never make it to our house because of all the big roads in between us. The smoke in the sky has already flown all the way to Las Vegas and they can see it there!

Giddy-up Horsey!!

Daddy is so silly! After he got home from work he laid down on the floor and I decided that I wanted to play so, I crawled onto his back. He got on his hands and knees and let me ride on his back all around the room. It was so much fun. I love piggy-back rides!!

My Kind of Smile

Today I am feeling so much better! I have been feeling under the weather for the past few days, but this morning I woke up and wanted to play! Mommy tried taking some pictures of me and these are the smiles I gave her. If you would call them smiles, I guess.

I like making funny faces when Mommy takes my picture, and today I feel like being silly!

A Big Boy Seat

LOOK AT ME!!! Today, Daddy and Mommy bought me this seat for the car and it is soooo comfy! I love how it is bigger than me and I stretch my legs. It's about time they treat me like an adult and get me a recliner! This seat will be perfect for us to go on our first family vacation to Colorado in two weeks!!

Mommy's Water

So, Mommy was watching TV and I got a hold of her glass of water on the table. I took it and knew exactly what to do! I put it to mouth and drank it all up! Next thing she knew, her water was all gone and this is the look I gave her (above). Mommy said that I need to ask her if I want to drink out of her glass, but she also hugged me and said that I did a very good job. Except, of course, that I did get a little on my shirt! (I am sure you can tell!)

Happy 4th of July!

Happy Fourth of July everybody! For me, yesterday was a long day! Daddy and Mommy and me all went to my friend Rileys, house for a BBQ. I played really hard for about 4 hours then we came home to eat dinner before fireworks. We went back to Daddy's work for fireworks and I was so busy playing, I didn't even want to watch the show! Mommy and Daddy were dissapointed that I was not paying attention to the fireworks, but maybe I will next year.
By the time we got back home, I had zonked out in the car and all I wanted to do was go to bed!
Daddy and Mommy tried getting pictures of me in front of the fireworks, but the fireworks didn't show up very well. So, these are pictures of us waiting for them to start when we were playing on the blanket in the grass.

Playing In the Rain

Yesterday during my nap it started raining! That doesn't happen very often here at our house, so I had to wake up and not miss out on the fun! Daddy and Mommy took me outside and they stood under the roof hangover, but I could not help myself....... I walked right out into it! Mommy and Daddy thought I would turn around and come back. But, no. Not me. I liked the rain and every time they came to get me I would walk faster out into it. We played outside for a long time and when we came inside, I was drenched! I LOVE RAIN! (I guess I get that from my Mommy.)

Pasghetti

Last night after playing in the rain, Mommy made Pasghetti!! It was so good and I ate it all up......

Except for the "little bit" that got on my face and highchair!
