Let's Party!!!

Okay people, brace yourselves for LOTS of pictures from my birthday party!
Everyone showed up at my house around 2:00 pm yesterday for a party! We all ate pizza and then opened gifts. We didn't get pictures of me opening gifts because, Mommy was helping me and Daddy was video taping! But, I didn't really understand what to do, so Mommy helped a lot. Something funny was that, when Mommy ripped part of the paper, I would go over to the present and "peek" under the wrapping to see my gift, but I wouldn't help rip the wrapping off!

After pizza and opening presents, we moved on to have fun with the pinata!! Most of the kids had fun pulling the strings, except for me......

Don't get me wrong, I liked this part of the party. Everyone said that I was "working smarter, not harder." That's because all the other kids pulled the strings, but while they were wondering what the heck just hit them in the head, I was stealing their candy off the floor!!! Hence, the above picture of me eating the candy too quickly to realize there was a reason it tasted like foil wrap....
After the pinata, we ate cake. This is a picture of me with my candle lit while everyone sang Happy Birthday dear Eli. Just like aunt Traci on her first birthday, I stuck my finger in the flame and (as Mommy would say), my finger got fired! I didn't cry though, I just took my finger back and made a funny face 'cause it stung.

The picture to the left is after about 10 minutes of cake eating. Mommy was surprised that I dug right into my cake. She thought I would be hestitant at first since that is my personality, but no, not today!!! It was a cake to eat all by myself and nobody was stopping me!!!

The above picture is how the dining room looked for my party. Mommy and Daddy had fun blowing up 55 balloons!

This is a picture of my own cake, with my own candle and my own name on it! I think out of everyone at the party, I got the biggest piece!

And, of course, this is the cake everyone else got to eat and, we ended up with lots of leftovers, so Mommy said she will freeze a piece and give it to me on my real birthday.....

Hey, does that mean I get to do all of this again on Thursday? A guy can't complain about that!

Your birthday looks like a lot of fun.. I wish we could have been there. Tell Mommy and Daddy we want to see lots more pictures. I can't believe you are already one year old. I MISS YOU, and LOVE YOU very very much. It sounds like you did everything just right... You didn't have a lot of work, but you still got gifts, candy, and cake. Don't you wish every day was like this.
