Last night for the 4th of July, Grandma, Daddy and me went to the top of the hill behind our house to watch the fireworks! I was really antsy waiting for the them to start, but once they did, I liked them a lot. I liked to tell everyone how "pretty" they were and point to them! Mommy and Jayde were able to come out for the last part of the show too.
Today after lunch, we all went to the store and looked at toys! We saw this really cool basketball hoop and ball that Grandma wanted to buy for me. I came home to go night-night and when I woke up, I got to play with it! I was so good at making the hoops, that Daddy even had to raise it a notch to challenge me!
Also, in the last few days, I have started saying a few new words. They are banana, truck and apple!

That's a really cool basketball hoop you have there, Eli! Keep practicing and we can play when I get there in a couple of weeks. Sure glad you got to watch some fireworks on the 4th. I bet they have a good show there.
My Eli! You are going to be an all-around sports jock when you get older. First golf and now basketball? Won't be long before you are skiing down the slopes and hanging ten in the ocean! Way to go, Dude! Don't forget Grandma loves you bunches..
